AT-LARGE SCHOLARS PROGRAM

At-Large Scholars Program

NACME recently introduced its newest scholarship program – At-Large Scholars program. The At-Large Scholars program offers scholarship support to rising second-, third-, and fourth-year underrepresented minority students pursuing engineering degrees at non-partner universities.

This competitive award is based on the following four criteria:

  • academic achievement
  • financial need
  • record of community/civic/social involvement
  • evidence of leadership skills

Each year, NACME awards At-Large scholarships to 10–15 full-time African American, American Indian, and Latino students enrolled in engineering or engineering-related programs at ABET-accredited institutions.

Based on cumulative college GPA, each At-Large Scholar receives up to $4,000 per year for a maximum of three years, as follows:

Grade Point Average Award Amount
3.50 – 4.00 $ 4,000
3.00 – 3.49 $ 3,000
2.50 – 2.99 $ 2,500
